In 2019, a revolutionary idea took shape: aesthetic medicine education needed to transcend traditional lecture halls. SODC was born from the belief that true mastery comes not from passive listening, but from active, hands-on engagement with expert guidance. What began as a vision has evolved into India’s most prestigious platform for aesthetic training, setting new standards for experiential medical education.
The Foundation: 2019
Our journey began in September 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, where over 500 delegates gathered for SODC’s inaugural conference. With 40 of India’s top national faculty members, we introduced a paradigm shift—learning through doing. The overwhelming response validated what we knew: the future of aesthetic education lay in hands-on, live teaching that bridges the gap between theory and practice.
Rising Stronger: 2021
Emerging from the global pandemic, SODC demonstrated resilience and commitment to our mission. Our second conference at Taj Chandigarh welcomed over 500 delegates in a post-COVID landscape hungry for knowledge and connection. This year marked a pivotal milestone—our first international collaboration with IMCAS, signaling SODC’s emergence on the global stage.
Going Global: 2022
April 2022 marked a transformative chapter with the launch of SODC World Congress 2022 at Taj Swarna Amritsar. Through prestigious partnerships with AGORA, DASIL, and IMCAS, we cemented our position as India’s premier annual aesthetic hands-on training conference. The April tradition was born—a date that would become synonymous with excellence in aesthetic education. But our vision extended beyond elite conferences. In 2022, we launched SODC Academy, a free teaching platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation. Designed for PG students and recent graduates (within three years of completing their Dermatology PG), SODC Academy democratized access to world-class training. Our Academy events in Delhi, Mumbai (November 2022), and Bangalore (October 2023) each attracted 500 delegates, proving that quality education should be accessible to all.
Innovation Unleashed: 2023
SODC World Congress 2023 in Kufri, Shimla (April 23-24) broke new ground. We introduced immersive, multi-day learning experiences interwoven with thoughtfully curated theme-based activities. Delegates didn’t just attend a conference—they lived an experience that challenged their assumptions about what medical education could be. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Himalayas, SODC proved that environment and engagement amplify learning. Meanwhile, SODC Academy continued its mission, bringing free training to Chennai in September 2023, expanding our reach across India’s major metropolitan centers.

Mumbai’s SODC World Congress 2024 elevated our standards once again. With over 600 delegates and more than 70 distinguished international and national faculty members, we strengthened our global partnerships with IMCAS, AGORA, and DASIL. The conference showcased the depth and breadth of expertise that SODC had become synonymous with, attracting practitioners from across India and beyond.
Record-Breaking Excellence: 2025
2025 was our most ambitious year yet. At The Westin Hyderabad, SODC hosted its largest event with over 700 delegates in an unprecedented format that revolutionized hands-on training. We introduced multiple training tables with uniform teaching patterns—a systematic approach that ensured every delegate received consistent, high-quality instruction regardless of their station. The feedback was extraordinary. We had set new benchmarks not just for India, but for South Asia as a whole, ushering in a new era of scalable, standardized excellence in aesthetic education. In the same year, we unveiled Skillthetica at The Westin Powai—our sister brand designed for specialized, niche programming.
