Abstract Submission

Come forward and participate in the “Abstract Submission Programme” of SODC (World Congress 2026 - Kochi). This programme gives pursuing graduates and resident doctors the much needed boosting edge to their careers as well as helps the practicing Dermatologists to keep themselves abreast of the day-to-day developments in the areas of their interest.

Abstract can only be submitted via the online Abstract Submission Service

The last date to submit will be 28 Feb, 2026, 11:59 pm.

Types of Abstracts-ORAL AND E POSTER

Registration for the conference is a must for abstract submission.

Late submissions will not be entertained.

Confirmation email will be sent to selected applicants by 10th March, 2026.

“Any other means of communication will not be entertained and may lead to cancellation of candidature”.

Step I- Abstract Information

Title: The title should indicate the abstract content and should be written in lower-case and not in capital letters. Capital letters should be used only at the beginning of a sentence, for abbreviations, study names or for proper nouns. Usage of authors, institutions, city names, trademarks, special symbols, characters and uncommon abbreviations in the title are prohibited.

Step-II- Abstract Content

All abstracts must be submitted in English using UK English spelling with accurate grammar and spelling
Abstracts must contain original matter neither published nor presented elsewhere prior (in print or electronically).
An abstract constitutes the version (new/abridged) of an original research; it should detail the objectives of the research, the methodology, the results and conclusion(s).

Table and Picture: If the abstract calls for insertion of table or picture , you can do so as an image or picture {Format should be *jpeg,*jpg*png*gif files, Size less than 1MB,Measurement resolution should not be larger than 600pixels (x) *800 pixels (y)}
Important: The grading and selection process is kept blinded for reasons of non-revelation of identity. So all the presenters must be watchful that the title and the text of the body must be free of any kind of names (author/institute/hospitals/medical schools/clinics/cities etc
Also not authorized: Do not use any kind of Trademarks instead generic drug names can be used. The use of commercial drug names, brands and registered trademarks is strictly prohibited. Drugs should be referred to by the active substance or pharmacological designation, company names and location, Web sites and email addresses.

Failure to comply with the above requirements will/may lead to automatic rejection of the submission or this information may be deleted by the abstract services and some rephrasing may occur.

Refrain from using keywords or references in the abstract, as they are not allowed and will be deleted. Also any kind of copyright or trademark symbols should not be included.
Limit the use of acronyms and abbreviations: Define at first use with acronym or abbreviation in parentheses.
Please keep in mind that display of patient’s photo should be avoided at any point of time and the patient must never be identifiable in your presentation by any means.

No-show policy

Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal agreement by the presenter to present the work if accepted. Non-availability to present and register for the Conference, if not justified (withdrawn), will be treated as “no-show” and will jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts.

Affirmation of originality and copyrights transfer statement

By submitting your work, you authorize to have the respective author’s names, affiliation, and biographical material used in connection with the publication of your work.
Presenter affirms that he/she is/are sole author of the work, the research is original and does not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary, or personal right of any third party.
The submitter hereby affirms that the work submitted is original, except for extracts from copyrighted works fully authorized by the copyright holders, and that all statements declared as facts are based on thorough examination and investigation for accurateness.
Submitted abstracts should not have been published in any other journals and/or online publications nor presented at any previous conference.

Conflict of interest

Conflict of Interest-All participants of the above award paper session shall disclose any kind of Conflict of Interest .If there is no interest to be declared, a “No conflict of Interest” declaration shall be submitted.

A potential conflict of interest may arise from various relationships, either in the past or present, for ex. an employer, consultant, investments and stock ownership, funding for research, family relationship, etc. All such potential conflicts of interest should be brought into notice of SODC. This caters to relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biomedical device manufacturers, or other corporations whose products and (or) services are related to the subject matter of the presentation.

A non-exhaustive list of such relationships may include

Membership on a standing advisory council or committee
Holding a position in the board of directors or association with the organization or its products.
Receiving honoraria / consulting fees / grants /funds from corporations or individuals representing such corporations.
